Fiji Islands: An earthquake measuring 4.6 magnitude on the Richter scale struck on Monday Fiji Islands in the South Pacific.
According to Qatar News Agency, the US Geological Survey (USGS) said that the quake occurred 617 km from Houma, at a depth of 478.2 km. There have been no reports of casualties or material damage due to the earthquake.
Fiji Islands are located in an area called the Ring of Fire in the Pacific Ocean, which is exposed from time to time to many aftershocks and earthquakes that may be strong.
