4.6-Magnitude Earthquake Hits Russian Kuril Islands

An earthquake measuring 4.6 magnitude on the Richter scale struck the Pacific Ocean northeast of the Kuril Islands in Russia. The earthquake occurred in the Pacific Ocean, 467.6 km west of Kurilsk town at a depth of 23 km, the US Geological Survey (USGS) reported. There were no reports of a possible tsunami.
