4.7-Magnitude Earthquake Hits Southern Mexico

Guerrero: An earthquake measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale struck the southern Mexican state of Guerrero on Thursday.

According to Qatar News Agency, the US Geological Survey reported that the quake occurred 2,703 km from the city of Acapulco de Juarez in the state, at a depth of 10 km. So far, there have been no reports of material damage or human losses as a result of the quake.

In September 2017, a powerful earthquake hit Mexico City and the neighboring states of Morelos and Puebla, killing 370 people.
