A fire broke out in a migrant boat off the coast of Haiti, killing at least 40 people and injuring others, a United Nations Agency confirmed on Friday. The International Organization for Migration said in a statement, 'The boat, which was carrying more than 80 people, left Labadee (in northern Haiti) towards the Turks and Caicos Islands' before it caught fire. The organization reported that the Haitian Coast Guard rescued 41 migrants who are currently being cared for, while 11 migrants were transferred to the hospital to receive treatment, especially for burns.
