5.1-Magnitude Earthquake Hits Southwest Iceland

An earthquake measuring 5.1 magnitude on the Richter scale hit southwest Iceland.

The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) reported that the earthquake occurred 13 km from the capital, Reykjavik, and at a depth of 6 km.

There have been no reports of casualties or material damage as a result of the earthquake.
