The Turkish authorities seized 53 irregular immigrants in Edirne state, which borders Bulgaria and Greece.
The Turkish Immigration Department stated in a media circular today that the immigrants hold the nationalities of Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan and Morocco.
It added that the migrants were handed over to the Immigration Directorate in Edirne, in preparation for taking legal measures against them and then deporting them to their countries.
