Kuwait: At least 69 people were killed in an armed attack by gunmen in northeastern Democratic Republic of Congo, security authorities announced. Authorities reported that the attacks targeted isolated villages in Ituri province and that most of the victims were civilians. Authorities suspect that the CODECO (Cooperative for the Development of the Congo) group was behind the attacks.
According to Qatar News Agency, local officials announced in April that more than 30 people were killed in attacks carried out by ISIS militants east of the country.
