A large fire engulfed today, Monday, commercial shops and apartments in Al-Shawi area in the center of Hilla, without injuries.

Civil Defense media director, Aqil Abdullah, said, "today, Monday, the civil defense teams were able to put out a large fire that burned shops and apartments in Al-Shawi area in the center of Hilla, without any injuries."

He added that the police opened an investigation to find out the causes of the fire.
