A joint force of the Diyala police carried out a security operation to secure the banks of the Diyala River.

The Media Spokesman for the Diyala Police Command, Colonel Haitham Al-Shammari, told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that a joint force from the Diyala Police carried out a security operation to raid and search orchards located near the Diyala River.

He added that the operation aims to secure the orchards and the agricultural roads leading to them.

On a related level, police forces arrested 12 defendants according to various legal articles in various areas in Diyala.
