The Anti-Crime Directorate arrested a person accused of murder and another one accused of forgery.

A statement by the Directorate stated: The detachments of Al-Madaen Office for Combating Crime were able to arrest a suspect wanted for a murder within the sector of responsibility, as the investigative papers were presented to the eyes of the investigating judge and he decided to arrest him in accordance with the provisions of Article 406 of the Penal Code to receive his just punishment.

The statement added, as the detachments of the Green Zone Office for Combating Crime arrested an accused woman for forging a cheque worth (15) million Iraqi dinars, where an investigation was conducted with the accused, and she openly admitted that she had forged the cheque, and she recorded her statements in the first instance and judicially by confession, and the investigating judge decided to arrest her in accordance with the provisions of Article 295 of the Penal Code to receive her just punishment.
