The Basra police arrested a suspect practicing witchcraft and sorcery in exchange for sums of money.

The media of the Basra Police Command stated that, according to accurate information, and after obtaining judicial approvals, the detachments of the Anti-Crime Department in Basra were able to arrest an accused of practicing witchcraft and sorcery in exchange for sums of money, taking advantage of some citizens who fell victim to their actions by defrauding them.

He added, the accused statements were duly recorded and referred to the competent authorities.
