Doha: Advisor to the Prime Minister and Official Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Majid bin Mohammed Al Ansari met Thursday with HE European Union Special Representative for the Gulf Region Luigi Di Maio, who is visiting the country. The meeting focused on the military escalation in the region and its significant impact on regional and international security and stability. The discussions also highlighted peaceful resolutions to conflicts and enhancing joint cooperation amid current challenges.

According to Qatar News Agency, Dr. Al Ansari emphasized Qatar's appreciation for its partnership with the EU, especially under the prevailing circumstances, with particular focus on defense and security collaboration. HE the EU Special Representative Luigi Di Maio expressed his support for Qatar in light of repeated attacks on its sovereignty and stressed the importance of reinforcing security and stability in the region.
