Syrian football player Aiham Ousou joined the Spanish club Cadiz on loan until the end of the current season 2023-2024, coming from the Czech football club Slavia Prague. Cadiz Club welcomed its new 24-year-old player in a blog posted on X. Cadiz Club and Slavia Prague have reached an agreement to loan Ayham Owusu until the end of the season. Ousou became the first Syrian player to play in the Spanish Football League. Ousou was born in Sweden in 2000. He plays as a centre-back. He played for the Syrian national team in the AFC Asian Cup 2023 currentlybeing held in Qatar, where he played as a starter in all four of the national team's matches. He contributed, along with the rest of the national team's players, to qualifying to the last 16 round of the tournament and gave an honorable performance in the last match with Iran, which ended in its favor on penalties. Ousou had previously played for several Swedish clubs, including Hacken, which he joined in 2018 and continued in their ranks until 2021, where he also played on loan for Swedish teams Eskilstuna and Gais, before signing for Slavia Prague. He was loaned back to Hacken in August 2023 before returning at the end of last year. Slavia Prague decided to loan the player again so that he has more opportunities to play, and this time the choice fell on Club Cadiz. Cadiz currently occupies eighteenth place in the Spanish League.
