Parliament Speaker Muhammad Al-Halbousi received today, Sunday, the US Ambassador to Iraq, Alina Romanowski.
The meeting discussed, according to a statement by Al-Halbousi's office, the bilateral relations between the two countries, the continuation of cooperation in various fields, as well as the importance of the results of the joint security cooperation dialogue between Iraq and the United States.
The meeting also discussed developments in the political situation in the country, the importance of supporting the government in implementing its program and its economic and service priorities, and a number of issues of common concern.
