Al-Mandlawi discusses with the Venezuelan Ambassador the latest developments in the region

Baghdad, Acting Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mohsen Al-Mandlawi, received in his office today, Tuesday, the Venezuelan Ambassador to Iraq, Arturo Anibal Ramirez, and discussed with him the latest developments in the region, and a number of topics of common interest. Al-Mandlawi, according to a statement from his office, congratulated Venezuela on the re-election of Nicolas Maduro as President of the country, indicating the importance of activating the friendship committees between the House of Representatives and the National Assembly, as well as exchanging visits between members of the two councils to strengthen bilateral relations and exchange experiences at the legislative level, while stressing: "The recent Zionist attacks and assassinations aim to plunge Iraq and neighboring countries into the furnace of a devastating war. Al-Mandlawi added: "The region is facing difficult and arduous days and will not stabilize except by ending the Zionist aggression and removing the occupying entity from the land of Palestine." For his part, the Venezuelan Ambassador presented a summary of the recent elections, and conveyed the greetings of the President of the National Assembly to the presidency and members of the Iraqi legislative authority, while expressing his country's keenness to develop relations with Iraq in all fields.
