Al-Sudani receives a group of tribal sheikhs, notables of Maysan Governorate and representatives of its components

Prime Minister, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani received, today, Saturday, a group of sheikhs, notables and representatives of the components of Maysan Governorate. Al-Sudani welcomed the Maysan Governorate delegation, including sheikhs, notables, and members of the components, pointing out the honorable positions of the governorate in the history of Iraq and the sacrifices of its people, stressing his knowledge of the reality of the governorate and what it has suffered for decades, whether before 2003, when it provided the martyrs and the displaced, or after it, when it contributed to stabilizing the political process and gave sacrifices, especially in the war against ISIS terrorist gangs. The Prime Minister explained that Maysan has great natural and human resources that qualify it to be an important economic hub, and at the same time it is witnessing population growth that requires the sustainability of service projects there, stressing work to determine the governorate's priorities to support them, and direct communication with the governor to follow up on the projects that were included in the plan. They will be initiated successively, in addition to work on sustaining oil projects and gas investment, the latest of which is the opening of the treatment plant, which will establish a number of projects that will usher in good news for the people of the governorate. Al-Sudani stressed the role of the sheikhs and notables of Maysan in maintaining security and stability and supporting state institutions, pointing to the dangerous transformations that the region is going through, and the government's maintenance of balance in relations and the maintenance of security, just as it maintained its principled positions regarding the genocide taking place in Gaza. Al-Sudani stated that the clan constitutes a social component that we are proud of, a safety valve for the country, and a support for the state since its founding, and it cannot be evaluated through the actions of some of its members, expressing his great confide nce in the sheikhs and notables who are taking responsibility, in confronting various problems and taking the initiative to solve them before the state agencies take their measures. The Prime Minister listened to the requests of the sheikhs and notables related to the service and administrative aspects of the governorate, and directed to follow up and solve all problems that obstruct the improvement of the service situation for the people of the governorate.
