Al-Sudani receives an official invitation to visit Tunisia

Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani received an official invitation to visit Tunisia, which was conveyed to him by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Tunisians Abroad, Nabil Ammar, during his reception today. A statement by Al-Sudani's media office said that Ammar conveyed to the Prime Minister during the meeting the greetings of Tunisian President Kais Saied and Prime Minister Ahmed Al-Hashani, and an official invitation to visit Tunisia. According to the statement, Al-Sudani welcomed the visit of the Tunisian minister, which represents the beginning of activating the common files between the two countries. He congratulated the holding of the 17th session of the joint Iraqi-Tunisian committee, for three continuous days in the capital, Baghdad, which will witness the signing of 18 memorandums of understanding between the two countries, stressing Iraq's welcome to Tunisian companies to work in Different fields , pointing to the importance of strengthening relations in trade, education and t ourism. The meeting discussed the principled position of Iraq and Tunisia on what is happening in the occupied Palestinian territories, as the Prime Minister stressed that the more coherent and strong the Arab position is, the more it will alleviate the suffering of the Palestinians. It was also emphasized that the international position must be clear in condemning the crimes of genocide against civilians in Gaza, and to work to end this bloody war that has been ongoing for seven months. For his part, Nabil Ammar expressed his country's appreciation for Iraq's positions towards Tunisia during the past ten years, stressing his country's government's desire to expand the horizons of cooperation between the two brotherly countries in all fields.
