Arab League to Host Arab Dialogue on Artificial Intelligence Sunday

Cairo: The Arab Dialogue Forum on “Artificial Intelligence in the Arab World: Innovative Applications and Ethical Challenges” will kick off Sunday at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo.

According to Qatar News Agency, the event is organized by the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport, in collaboration with Naif Arab University for Security Sciences and the Arab League General Secretariat. The forum will run for two days, with participation of Arab and international experts, as well as diplomats, academics, and specialists.

The Arab League announced that the forum is part of the implementation of the decision made at the 56th session of the Higher Coordination Committee for Arab Joint Action, held last April. The first session will focus on “Recent Innovations in Artificial Intelligence: Exploring Global Trends and Applications in Arab Region, with a particular focus on Generative AI, Drones, and Robotics.” The second session will cover “Artificial Intelligence in Diplomacy and Peacekeeping: Prospects for International Cooperation and Its Role in Conflict Prevention,” while the third will discuss the ethics of artificial intelligence use.
