Doha: Arab League has emphasized that there is a full Arab unanimity beyond any doubt on constants of the Palestinian cause, foremost of which is enabling the Palestinian people to regain their legitimate rights to establish their independent state on the 1967 border with East Jerusalem as its capital.
According to Qatar News Agency, in a statement on Wednesday, Arab League stressed that the occupied West Bank and the Gaza Strip constitute the future Palestinian statehood as part of the two-state solution without separating the two territories or encroaching on the rights of the Palestinians, whose continued presence on their land is the hallmark of their just cause.
In addition, Arab League affirmed that it is confident in the US President’s desire to achieve just peace in the region, highlighting that the proposal put forward by US President Donald Trump implies the promotion of displacement scenario which contravenes international law and is rejected both Arab and globally.
It added that such a proposal is a recipe for instability and doesn’t contribute to the two-state solution as the only way to achieve peace and security between the Palestinians and Israelis and the entire region.
