Arsenal Clinches Premier League Title

Arsenal: Arsenal won the Premier League title for the first time in 22 years after second-place Manchester City was held to a 1-1 draw by host AFC Bournemouth on Tuesday in the penultimate round of the season.

According to Qatar News Agency, Bournemouth took the lead through French forward Eli Junior Kroupi in the 39th minute before Norwegian striker Erling Haaland equalized for City deep into stoppage time in the 95th minute. The draw left Manchester City with 78 points in second place, four points behind Arsenal, which secured the title with one round remaining.

Bournemouth moved to 56 points in sixth place, three behind fifth-place Liverpool. Its hopes of claiming the fifth Champions League qualification spot were dealt a blow, though the draw was enough to secure qualification for the Europa League.

Arsenal is set to celebrate the title in front of its supporters in the final round against Crystal Palace.
