Beirut: Oil prices settled lower Oil prices settled lower on Tuesday after comments by Vice President of the United States JD Vance indicating progress in talks related to the war in the Middle East. According to Qatar News Agency, Brent crude futures for July delivery fell 82 cents, or 0.73 percent, to settle at $111.28 a barrel. US West Texas Intermediate crude futures for June delivery, which expired on Tuesday, dropped 89 cents, or 0.82 percent, to $107.77 a barrel. The more actively traded July contract fell 23 cents to settle at $104.15 a barrel.
