Awqaf Initiates Comprehensive Activities for Ramadan Preparation

Doha: The Department of Da’wah and Religious Guidance at the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf) organized a host of educational and guidance activities in preparation for the holy month of Ramadan.

According to Qatar News Agency, these activities included distributing 500 copies of the book “The Little Fasting Person” in primary schools across the country. This initiative benefited 160 female students participating in the program, aiming to raise awareness and guide school students about the importance of fasting during Ramadan. The activities also sought to promote Islamic values and morals among students in both state and private schools.

The program further included 14 lectures targeting primary, preparatory, and secondary levels as part of the Marsa program for Ramadan. More than 500 female students from various educational levels benefited from these lectures. The aim was to increase awareness of Islamic values and the importance of Ramadan as a season of obedience, introduce the rulings of fasting, and discuss means of maintaining steadfastness after Ramadan.

On the sidelines of these activities, 450 bags containing a variety of educational games were distributed to schoolgirls participating in the Marsa program. The Department of Da’wah and Religious Guidance continues to provide various lectures and da’wah activities in schools and memorization centers. It also offers these lectures and activities remotely through applications and electronic platforms, ensuring broad access for those unable to attend in person.
