Bahrain Polytechnic signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with WiSC International.
WiSC International specialises in designing, creating, implementing, and delivering tailored skills development solutions for the Oil, Gas, and Energy industry worldwide.
The MoU aims to establish a training centre within the Bahrain Polytechnic campus to provide training platforms for the oil and gas industries, as well as practical technical training for a wide range of industrial sectors, including the "OGRE" sector, petrochemicals, aluminum and steel processing, and energy distribution and transformation, as well as consulting services for industrial plant operations.
The key objective of this project is to enhance technical education, while also developing the oil, gas and energy sector and develop the skills of Bahraini youth.
Ciarán Catháin, CEO of Bahrain Polytechnic, affirmed that the cooperation aims to support Bahrain's industrial sector by enhancing national competencies, which complies with Bahrain's 2030 Economic Vision.
Ramzi Jabara, General Director of WiSC International, said that the project seeks to enable Bahraini youth to get involved in this promising sector and equip them with the practical knowledge and skills.
