China Launches New Remote Sensing Satellite into Space

Beijing, China launched on Wednesday a new remote sensing satellite (Yaogan-42 01) into space, on board a Long March-2D carrier rocket, which was launched from the Xichang Launch Center in the southwestern province of Sichuan. The satellite entered its preset orbit. This launch marks the 515th mission of the Long March series of carrier rockets. China launched the 514th mission of the Long March series of carrier rockets on March 27, from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in Shaanxi Province, where the Wenhai-3 02 satellite was launched using a Long March-6 carrier rocket, and successfully entered the preset orbit.
