Council of Representatives condemns Israelis’ storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque

The Council of Representatives strongly condemned the storming of the Al-Aqsa Mosque by the Israeli forces which assaulted worshippers and arrested some of them.

It denounced the continuous violations of the inalienable rights of the Palestinians and the desecration of Islamic sanctities which represents an affront to Muslims around the world and a flagrant violation of the international law.

In a statement today, it reiterated Bahrain’s firm stance, urging protection for Al-Aqsa Mosque, worshippers and religious sanctities in Al Quds.

It stressed the importance of respecting the role of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in managing endowments and protecting holy places in accordance with the existing historical and legal status of Jerusalem and the international resolutions.

The Council of Representatives called on the international community to play its role and stop the violations, protect the Palestinians and religious sanctities, and hold the Israeli authorities accountable for their continued aggressions, which would inflame the situation and fuel violence.
