Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, stressed the need to simplify the procedures for granting (visas) to citizens and businessmen between Iraq and Egypt.
The media office of the deputy speaker of parliament stated: "Today, Al-Mandalawi received the Egyptian ambassador to Iraq, Walid Muhammad Ismail."
He added: "During the meeting, ways of upgrading and developing the historical-fraternal relations that unite the two friendly peoples were discussed, in addition to discussing the most important issues on the regional and international arena, especially the situation in Palestine and the current conflict in Sudan, stressing the need to continue efforts to calm and end conflicts through diplomatic channels and spare people the scourge of war.
Mandalawi stressed the need to find simplified mechanisms between the two brotherly countries to facilitate the procedures for granting (visas) to citizens, businessmen, investors and students, and the importance of this procedure to strengthen relations and develop them in the future.
He noted the necessity of investing in the great openness in relations between the two countries, the implementation of agreements and memorandums of understanding, especially economic ones, related to raising the volume of trade exchange, as well as activating the work of the Joint Relations Committee, and exchanging visits at the governmental and parliamentary levels.ed
