Diyala Governorate recorded nine fires in wheat fields in the agricultural areas in the governorate.

A source in Diyala agriculture department told the reporter of the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that the agricultural areas in Diyala witnessed the recording of nine fire incidents of wheat fields, which resulted in damage to more than / 170 / dunums. Referring that the civil defense teams saved /900/ dunums from devastating fires.

He added that most of the fires were caused by electrical contacts near high-voltage electricity poles and wires from wheat farms. Pointing out that "the fires prompted an increase in the pace of harvesting operations in anticipation of any emergency."
