Doha: The Doha-based Arab Educational Training Center for Gulf States (AETCGS) in collaboration with UNESCO’s Regional Office for the Gulf States and Yemen has launched two training toolkits to support teachers, didactic institutions, and relevant parties. The toolkits are intended to enhance comprehensive teaching practices and benefit from AI’s potential in the educational sector.
According to Qatar News Agency, this initiative was unveiled during a ceremony patronized by HE Minister of Education and Higher Education Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater. The event was attended by HE Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education Dr. Ibrahim bin Saleh Al Nuaimi, HE Director-General of Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States Dr. Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Al Asmi, HE Director of UNESCO’s Regional Office for the Gulf States and Yemen, Dr. Salah El Din Zaki Khaled, along with AETCGS’s Director Fatima Ghanem Al Maadeed.
The toolkits provide resources, strategies, and approaches that aim to promote an environment of equal learning, making it accessible to all regardless of abilities and backgrounds. Dr. Al Asmi emphasized that the initiative is a commitment to enhancing the quality of education and advancing teachers’ skills to keep up with the rapid global evolution. The launch is part of efforts to help educational cadres internalize essential skills and knowledge to improve their didactic aptitude.
Dr. Al Asmi also noted that comprehensive education is a moral and humanitarian commitment to providing an educational environment that meets all students’ needs. He stressed that preparing teachers to navigate the challenges of the technological era is essential for the successful advancement of the pedagogical process.
