The head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, Mu'ayyad Al-Lami, called on newspaper editors-in-chief to give priority to national events and issues and highlight them in the media coverage of their newspapers. Al-Lami stressed, while chairing a meeting of newspaper editors-in-chief, that the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate and the journalistic family play a pivotal and influential role through their media and professional work in line with the stage of economic and urban development witnessed by the new Iraq. Al-Lami also stressed the importance of local newspapers carrying out their professional duty in adopting an educational campaign regarding the general population census process that will be conducted on the twentieth of next month, due to its importance in setting development plans in the country. On the sidelines of the meeting, the head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate expressed his thanks and gratitude to Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani and Minister of Planning Mohammed Tamim for responding to the Syndicate's request to include daily newspapers in publishing advertisements in addition to publishing them on the electronic platform.
