Doha: Several officials from the education sector and teachers told Qatar News Agency that the State of Qatar's annual celebration of World Teachers' Day and the honoring of a group of educators reflect the nation's gratitude for the vital role teachers play in building the country and shaping its future generations. They added that this celebration, sponsored and supported by the state, emphasizes the importance and status of teachers and their noble profession, recognizing their central role in advancing the country. In this context, Director of Public Relations and Communication Department at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MOEHE) Maryam Abdullah Al Mohannadi said that the patronage and attendance of HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani to the ceremony highlights the state's commitment to education, educators, and the education system. Al Mohannadi added that as a former teacher and educator, she feels proud to see these te achers honored, commenting that they are the foundation of the educational process. She stressed that MOEHE is committed to providing all forms of support to teachers, it understands their needs and works diligently to attract, keep, and empower them in carrying on their duties. For her part, Director of the Training and Development Center at MOEHE, Iman Salman Al Mohannadi, congratulated the honored teachers and highlighted the state's significant attention to and appreciation for the role and mission of teachers in educating future generations and advancing the nation. Al Mohannadi added that MOEHE's plans and programs to improve the educational process and support teachers align with the wise leadership's vision in this regard. Social support mathematics teacher at Abdullah Bin Zaid Al Mahmoud Model School, Aisha Mubarak Al Manna, praised MOEHE's support and care for teachers, which encourages them to dedicate themselves even more. Physical Education Teacher at Nasser bin Abdullah al Attiyah Independe nt Secondary School for Boys, Abdullah Al Kaabi, commended the World Teachers' Day celebration, adding that this deserved recognition exemplifies the state's commitment to education, the educational system, and the exceptional contributions of educators.
