Jerusalem - Ma'an - The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor revealed on Sunday that the Israeli occupation forces used "booby-trapped robots" loaded with tons of explosives during their ongoing invasion of the northern Gaza Strip, which increases the pace of genocide crimes against the Palestinians. The monitor said in a statement that the occupation forces completely separated the northern Gaza governorate from Gaza City through the deployment of military vehicles, sand barriers and the rubble of destroyed homes, accompanied by drone strikes. It pointed out that estimates indicate that there are more than 200,000 people in the remains of destroyed homes and shelters in northern Gaza, at a time when residents reject the occupation's systematic plans to forcibly displace them. The occupation authorities issued more than 6 displacement orders in one week, including leaflets calling on residents to head to the southern Gaza Strip. The Observatory warned that there are about 200,000 other people in the Ga za Strip suffering from continuous bombing and hunger as a result of the halt in aid entry, which means that more than 400,000 people in the northern Gaza Valley are exposed to multiple risks, including killing and displacement. The Observatory called on the international community and the United Nations to intervene immediately to save the residents of northern Gaza, stop the genocide committed by Israel, impose a comprehensive ban on weapons supplied to it, and hold it accountable for crimes committed against civilians.
