Exemption, investigation and detention of the commander of one of the brigades and the holding force against the backdrop of targeting three restaurants in Baghdad

Baghdad, The Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, directed that a number of measures be taken against the backdrop of the targeting of three restaurants in the capital, Baghdad. A statement from the minister's office stated that, after the attacks that took place on three restaurants, two of which were on Palestine Street and the third in Karrada area in the capital, Baghdad, during the past 48 hours, Interior Minister Abdul Amir al-Shammari inspected the locations of these attacks, accompanied by the Baghdad Operations Commander and the Undersecretary for Police Affairs, and a number of commanders, general directors, and officers, and supervised their reopening. He explained: "The security services were able to arrest a number of suspects in these crimes, while search and inspection operations continue, according to accurate intelligence information, for the rest of the elements that carried out this illegal act." The Minister directed that a number of measures be taken, including punishing the n egligent personnel of the holding forces, as one of the brigade commanders was relieved of his position, placed under arrest, and an investigative board was formed against him, and the holding force of the rescue patrols, federal police, and intelligence were detained for a month, and he stressed taking firm measures in any sector that attacks occurs .
