Fidan calls on the international community to put pressure on Israel and warns that Netanyahu’s government will become a major security problem

Istanbul, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan called on the international community to increase legitimate pressure on Israel, warning that the "extremist" government of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu would turn into a major security problem for the region, the world, and the future of its people. Fidan said in a press conference held today, Tuesday, with Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg, in the capital, Ankara: Israel's systematic killing of thousands of innocent Palestinians and its displacement of millions is an act of reprehensible genocide. He added: "Just as it is wrong to kill innocent Jews in Nazi concentration camps, it is also wrong to kill innocent Palestinian children today by bombing them while they are in their beds." He pointed out that "human history is full of mistakes that caused suffering, and today Israel is adding a new mistake with its reckless behavior in Gaza." Fidan explained that the point we want to emphasize is that what happened yesterday is a mista ke similar to what is happening today in Gaza. The Turkish Foreign Minister said: The international community must cooperate as soon as possible to stop this problem, which has become a security problem in the current era, even though it does not seem possible for this racist, expansionist mentality that rules Israel to contribute to regional peace and tranquility. He added: "Turkey stressed from the beginning that the Palestinian state must be recognized, and the focus must be on the two-state solution, noting that his country took concrete steps against Israel, ended trade with it, and decided to intervene in the case filed against Israel in the International Court of Justice.
