Fidan: It is unacceptable to exterminate the people of Palestine under the pretext of Israel’s security

Istanbul, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said: It is unacceptable to continue genocide against the Palestinian people under the pretext of 'Israel's security and defense.' Fidan added in a press conference held today, Tuesday, with his Cambodian counterpart, Sok Chenda Sophia, at the Turkish Foreign Ministry's headquarters in the capital, Ankara: that Israel has added a new massacre to its massacres in the Gaza Strip, by targeting a camp for displaced people in the city of Rafah, and that Israel continues to practice the harshest and most inhumane activities in the Gaza Strip. He continued: "We firmly believe that this genocide will not go unpunished and will receive the necessary treatment, whether in the human conscience or in international law." The Turkish Foreign Minister stressed that without the unconditional support of Western countries, especially the United States of America, for Israel, it would not have been possible for Israel to begin or continue genocidal operations in the region. He stressed that Turkey will continue to work with all its might to stop the massacres being committed in the Palestinian Gaza Strip. Fidan said: From the beginning, we stressed that if this war does not stop, it may expand and spread, and as you know, the events in the Red Sea and other developments in the region have kept the danger of the spread and continuation of this war present. He recalled in this context that Israel killed an Egyptian soldier yesterday, Monday, at the Rafah border gate, and that this development once again shows the extent of the danger of the Israeli war spreading to the region. In this regard, he said: 'I offer my condolences to the Egyptian government and state, and I wish God's mercy on our martyr soldier brother, and I offer my condolences to his family on behalf of me and my state.' Fidan pointed out that their systematic efforts are continuing for greater recognition of the State of Palestine, noting in this context the recognition of Spain, Norway and Ireland. On Tuesday, S pain, Norway and Ireland announced their official recognition of the State of Palestine, bringing the number of countries recognizing it to 147 out of 193 countries in the United Nations General Assembly.
