The General Authority of Customs (GAC) has launched a Sports Events Management System to facilitate customs procedures during sporting events, the most important of which is the World Cup Qatar 2022.

The authority explained in a video published on its official Twitter account, that the launch of a customs platform for sporting events within the Al Nadeeb system for customs clearance, comes as part of the authority's national contribution to the preparations for the 2022 World Cup.

The authority pointed out that the platform provides many electronic services for the clearance of goods. The most important features of the platform are:

Easy registration for entities participating in sporting events.

Accelerated customs procedures that allow the declaration of shipments in an easy and simplified way.

Inclusion of a special unit for government agencies' procedures to facilitate getting approvals for shipments.

The General Authority of Customs also indicated that this platform will achieve its most important goals during the 2022 World Cup.
