GCC Secretary General Jasem Albudaiwi stressed the importance of Gulf-US strategic relations, that support joint cooperation and coordination across all fields.
In a statement today, he highlighted the outcome of the joint meeting which was held last June between the GCC foreign ministers and the USA.
The GCC Chief made the statement as he held a phone call today with Daniel Benaim is the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Arabian Peninsula Affairs in the Near East Bureau at the U.S. Department of State.
The two sides underscored the importance of steadily-growing strategic partnership between the GCC countries and the United States in maintaining peace, security, stability and economic prosperity in the Middle East.
Albudaiwi also stressed the GCC countries’ commitment to contributing the global security and stability through strategic partnerships with countries, regional and international organisations.
