Doha, Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), participated in the eighth meeting of the Ministers of Education of the GCC countries held in Qatar. The meeting was chaired by Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi, Minister of Education and Higher Education of Qatar, president of the current session, with the participation of the Ministers of Education of the GCC countries, and the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States (ABEGS). The Secretary General highlighted that the leaders of the GCC countries prioritise collaborative efforts in education, recognising its pivotal role in societal advancement and progress. In his speech, Albudaiwi expressed his sincere appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Amir of Qatar, president of the current session of the Supreme Council, for HH's constant support for joint Gulf action, praising his efforts along with the leaders of the GCC countries, to enhance education and raise its efficiency. He said that the meeting aimed at reaching effective and sustainable decisions for joint Gulf educational action, focusing on unified efforts and consolidating the values of good citizenship, peaceful coexistence, justice, and equality among all societal groups.
