H.E. Sheikh Jassim Bin Khalifa Al Thani’s NOFT ALNAYFAT and Al Jassimya Farm’s SUNDOWN KA and are Champion Mare and Stallion

H.E. Sheikh Jassim Bin Khalifa Al Thani’s NOFT ALNAYFAT and Al Jassimya Farm’s  SUNDOWN KA were crowned the Champion Mare and the Champion Stallion respectively on the fourth and final day of the Katara International Arabian Horse Festival (Title Show) on Saturday, February 6, 2021.

Sundown KA had topped Class 11 for Stallions 7-10YO on Friday with a score of 94. On Saturday, all the judges marked the grey stallion for gold.

Silver among the stallions went to Al Shahaniya Stud’s EKS MANSOUR, while bronze was won by Al Shaqab – Member of QF’s FADI AL SHAQAB.

NOFT ALNAYFAT won the Senior Mares Championship unanimously too after all 11 judges voted for the grey horse for the victory. The winner of Class 8B for Mares 7-10YO, NOFT ALNAYFAT had amassed 94.17 points on Friday for her spot in Saturday’s final round.

RIHAB AL NASSER, owned by Al Nasser Stud – Sheikh Nawaf Bin Nasser Al Thani, won silver while BAVIERA HVP, owned by H.E. Sheikh Al Qaqa Bin Hamad Al Thani, took bronze.

Al Dana Al Meslemani – Al Thumama Stud’s MARIA MAGDALENA NWA bagged the Junior Fillies Championship. H.E. Sheikha Reem Bint Mohammed Al Thani’s SULTANAH AL SHAHANIA and Al Shaqab – Member of QF’s AL WAZNA AL SHAQAB were presented silver and bronze respectively. AL WAZNA AL SHAQAB and H.E. Sheikh Jassim Bin Khalifa Al Thani’s EMARELLA both earned 13 points and so, the final standings were decided on the Al Shaqab filly’s better score in class.

Guy Jamar’s MURANAS NADER impressed all but one judge enough to win the Junior Colts gold handsomely. Al Shaqab – Member of QF’s HADER AL SHAQAB took silver ahead of H.E. Sheikh Jassim Bin Khalifa Al Thani’s WADEE ALJASSIMYA.

Maria Magdalena NWA’s win was second of the evening for Al Dana Al Meslemani and Al Thumama Stud. In the first championship round of the evening, JALYLA AT, second in the foals championship in the 23rd Qatar National Arabian Horse Show in January this year, won gold among the Yearling Fillies. Al Shahaniya Stud’s NAMAH AL SHAHANIA, second behind Jalyla AT in Class 1A for Yearling Fillies, was the runner up while Al Shaqab – Member of QF’s RAFEEF AL SHAQAB picked up bronze.

With as many as eight votes in his favour, Kaheel Stud’s AG NOBEL RAFEE topped the Yearling Colts Championship ahead of Al Nasser Stud – Sheikh Nawaf Bin Nasser Al Thani’s AREEB AL NASSER and Al Shaqab – Member of QF’s GHAITH AL SHAQAB.
