Gaza - Ma'an - Hamas said on Saturday that Israel's continuation of the "war of extermination" and killing of dozens of civilians in the past 24 hours is a "practical response to the opinion of the International Court of Justice." This came in a statement by the movement, following a bloody night in which Israel bombed a number of homes, killing and wounding dozens of Palestinians, and hours after the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice, which deemed the Israeli occupation "illegal." The movement said that Israel "continues its intensive bombardment and war of extermination against defenceless civilians throughout the Gaza Strip, and dozens of martyrs have been killed in the past 24 hours, most of them children and women." She added: "The latest of these crimes was the martyrdom of journalist Mohammed Jasser, his wife and children, which is a practical response to the advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice, which recognized the illegality of the occupation and the right o f our people to self-determination." Hamas called on the United Nations to "move immediately to stop the (Israeli) series of terrorism and crimes that are being carried out with direct support from the US administration." It also called for "obligating the occupation to abide by international resolutions calling for an end to the aggression, the siege and the Nazi starvation policy." Source: Maan News Agency
