HH the Amir and Pakistani Prime Minister Discuss Regional Tensions Amid Eid Greetings

Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani received a phone call from HE Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif. During the call, the two leaders exchanged greetings and congratulations on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr.

According to Qatar News Agency, the conversation also included expressions of condolences from HE the Pakistani Prime Minister to HH the Amir regarding the tragic loss of Qatari Armed Forces personnel in a helicopter crash within the country's territorial waters. Additionally, the Prime Minister of Pakistan conveyed his nation's solidarity with Qatar, condemning Iranian aggression against Qatar and other countries in the region.

HH the Amir extended his gratitude to HE the Prime Minister for these sincere sentiments and Pakistan's supportive position. Both leaders emphasized the importance of reducing tensions and halting military actions in the region, underscoring the need for diplomatic solutions. HH the Amir commended Pakistan's efforts in aiding de-escalation and fostering a peaceful resolution to ensure regional peace, security, and stability.
