HH the Amir’s Sword International Equestrian Festival Concludes with Remarkable Performances

Doha: HH the Amir's Sword International Equestrian Festival 2025 concluded on Saturday at the Longines Arena (indoor and outdoor) at Al Shaqab. The three-day festival featured 194 riders from 35 countries, with prize money exceeding 718,000 euros.

According to Qatar News Agency, Germany's Janne F. Meyer-Zimmermann claimed the title in the CSI5* Grand Prix Jump-Off at 1.60m. Saudi Khaled Almobty secured second place, with French Antoine Ermann finishing in third place. In the dressage competition, Qatari rider Jassim Al Kuwari emerged victorious, winning HH the Amir's Sword title, while Jessica Waldon and Asma Yasser took second and third places, respectively.

South Africa's Oliver Lazarus triumphed in the 1.45m Jump-Off class, with Portuguese Duarte Seabra and Spanish Mariano Martinez Bastida following in second and third places. Saudi Abdullah Alsharbatly won the CSI1 Grand Prix Jump-Off at 1.30m, trailed by Qatari riders Haya Khalid A E Al Hitmi and Saeed Hamad S H Juma in second and third places.

The CSI3-W Immediate Jump-Off at 1.40m provided a thrilling contest, with Spanish Mariano Martinez Bastida winning the event. Saudi Khaled Almobty took second place, and Qatari Sheikh Ali Khalid Al-Thani finished third. In the National 1.00m Competition, Qatari Naylah bint Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani claimed first place, followed by Layan bint Sultan Al-Thani and Canadian Ahmed Mahmoud Al Arrouqi. Other notable performances included Qatari Abdulla Ahmed Al Khulaifi in fourth place and Tamim bin Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani in sixth place.

Saudi Arabia's Khaled Alhady emerged victorious in the CSI1 Immediate Jump-Off at 1.15m. Qatari Hussain Ali M M Al Kaabi and Saudi Khaled Almobty finished in second and third places, respectively, showcasing a strong international presence at the festival.
