HRH the Deputy King receives the Commander of the US Central Command

Manama, The Deputy King, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, today received the Commander of the US Central Command, General Michael Kurilla, at Sakhir Palace. His Royal Highness affirmed the strength of the Bahrain-US longstanding relationship, which is based on strategic partnerships supported by the leadership of both countries. The Deputy King highlighted the importance of building on the bilateral partnership to achieve shared goals and interests. In this regard, His Royal Highness recognised the joint agreements and memoranda of understanding signed by both countries, the most recent of which was the Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement, which bolsters cooperation and coordination in all fields, particularly within military and defence. His Royal Highness welcomed the Commander of the US Central Command and the accompanying delegation to the Kingdom of Bahrain. The Deputy King emphasised the integral role played by the United States, along with allied countr ies, in supporting efforts to enhance regional and international security, stability, and peace. Various developments and issues of common interest were also discussed. The National Security Advisor, Royal Guard Commander, Lieutenant-General His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and the Bahrain Defence Force Chief of Staff, Lieutenant-General Theyab bin Saqr Al-Nuaimi, also attended the meeting.
