Ambassador Soha Gendi, Minister of State for Immigration and Egyptians Abroad Affairs, received Ms. Ghada Tawfik, Advisor to the Governor of the Central Bank for Social Responsibility to discuss cooperation in the file of combating illegal immigration, providing job opportunities for young people, and strengthening training efforts for employment. Ambassador Soha Gendi began the meeting, stressing the importance of cooperation between government institutions to support the development of communities exporting illegal immigration, and training and qualifying youth. In the same context, the Minister of Immigration reviewed the activity of the Egyptian-German Center for Jobs, Immigration and Reintegration. Ambassador Soha Gendi confirmed that the ministry has been working according to a strategy aimed at promoting safe migration paths for young people, and qualifying them according to the culture of the societies to which they will migrate. The Minister of Immigration stressed the importance to coordinate eff orts with various ministries and institutions of the Egyptian state, to provide training programs that qualify young people, even those who are not educated, to provide operational justice, noting the importance of cooperation with the Central Bank to develop strategic plans and curricula that emulate the latest Global needs in markets, to support the Ministry of Immigration's strategy of providing a safe alternative for young people. For her part, Ghada Tawfiq, advisor to the Governor of the Central Bank for social responsibility, explained that the bank plays a distinguished role in supporting government activities, taking into account social responsibility towards the people of the country, and developing various studies to achieve the best returns from investing in people and achieving sustainable development, including education. She added that she will be keen to conduct an intensive study on the efforts of the model proposed by the Ministry of Immigration, represented by the 'Egyptian German Center', and the successes achieved by that model. At the conclusion of the meeting, the two sides agreed to work to support efforts to qualify and train young people and projects that provide them with safe job opportunities, and to exchange experiences to support the training efforts for employment carried out by the Ministry.
