Manama, Dr. Ramzan bin Abdullah Al Noaimi, Minister of Information, and President of the Gulf Radio and Television Festival, today opened the 16th Gulf Radio and Television Festival Production Market. Majri Mubarak Al Qahtani, the Director-General of the Gulf Radio and Television Organistion (GRTO), was present. The minister was briefed on the market's pavilions of participating public and private Gulf and Arab organisations, production companies, in addition to the broadcasting and transmission devices and modern technologies that were displayed. The minister commended the role of the Gulf Radio and Television Festival Production Market as a platform for sharing expertise, productive interaction, promoting cooperation and showcasing advancements in broadcast technologies. Furthermore, the minister welcomed hosting the 2nd Gulf Media Forum as part of the festival, lauding its focus on themes of high importance to advancing the role of the media in the GCC and shaping its future. The festival will include specialised seminars and workshops on media and film production, and addressing future needs. One of the seminars titled "Manama as the Arab Media Capital 2024: Digital Media - Credibility and Influence", comes to highlight Manama's selection as the Arab Media Capital for 2024.
