Iranian Deputy Minister of Cultural Heritage and Tourism, Maryam Jalali Dehkerdi, announced today, Friday, the continuation of Iranian and Saudi efforts to develop tourism relations and cancel the visa between the two countries.
Maryam Jalali Dehkerdi, who is currently in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, to participate in the World Tourism Day activities, added, “Ideas were exchanged with the Saudi Undersecretary of Tourism for International Relations and Foreign Tourism, Sultan Al-Musallam, about ways to remove obstacles that hinder the development of tourism relations between the two countries.”
Jalali also invited, the Saudi Minister of Tourism, to visit Iran.
World Tourism Day was held in Riyadh, where more than 500 officials and experts from 120 countries gathered at the event.
Last March, Iran and Saudi Arabia announced an agreement to resume bilateral relations between the two countries at a Chinese initiative, and the two countries restored their diplomatic relations after a rupture that lasted 7 years.
