Baghdad, The Director-General of the West Asia Office of the Iranian Trade Development Organization, Abdul Amir Rabihawi, announced that trade between his country and Iraq grew by 30 % last year. The semi-official Iranian Mehr Agency quoted Rabahawi as saying, "Iraq is Iran's second trading partner." He said, "Impressive activity opportunities were provided for Iranian technical and engineering companies in Iraq during the past year. Without a doubt, the presence of these companies can contribute to achieving tangible revenues for the country. Iraq is undoubtedly in need of reconstruction, and they are seeking joint cooperation with us in this field."
