Baghdad: Iraq's Minister of Finance Taif Sami met with Director of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) office in Iraq, Catarina Hansen, to discuss a range of financial and economic issues of mutual interest and prospects for cooperation in development and economic reform.

According to Qatar News Agency, Iraq's Ministry of Finance stated that the meeting focused on mechanisms to support programs and projects aimed at developing the financial sector and enhancing institutional performance. The discussions also included exploring opportunities to expand technical and advisory cooperation in alignment with the Iraqi government's efforts to implement economic reforms and improve the development and investment environment.

Both sides emphasized the importance of continued coordination and leveraging international expertise to support financial and administrative modernization plans. This collaboration aims to strengthen economic stability and advance sustainable development priorities in Iraq.
