Iraq Resumes Air Traffic After Temporary Suspension

Iraq announced Saturday the reopening of its airspace to air traffic across all airports, following a temporary suspension "due to regional tensions." In a statement, the Ministry of Transport of Iraq stated that the decision to restore normal operations came after overcoming all potential risks that could have affected the safety and security of civil aviation in the country. The statement added that the General Company for Airports and Air Navigation has resumed operations to manage incoming, outgoing, and transit flights through Iraqi airspace. Additionally, Iraqi Airways will restart its flights to all destinations, coinciding with the reopening of Iraqi airspace to air traffic. Earlier today, Iraq had temporarily suspended all flights in response to the Israeli entity's attack on Iran. Source: Qatar News Agency
