Iraq welcomes the United Nations resolution on promoting tolerance among religions and confronting hate speech

The Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomed today, Wednesday, the United Nations resolution on encouraging tolerance among religions and confronting hate speech.

In a statement, the Ministry expressed its welcome to "the decision of the United Nations General Assembly to encourage dialogue and tolerance among religions and cultures in the face of hate speech, which was voted on unanimously during the meeting of the United Nations General Assembly that was held on Tuesday, 25/7/2023.

It stressed, "the need to combat all forms of discrimination, xenophobia and hate speech."
