Doha: Iraq’s Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) stated that the upcoming legislative elections must be conducted no later than November 25, aligning with the mechanism for setting election dates.

According to Qatar News Agency, IHEC spokesperson Jumana Al Ghalai explained that the election date is established by the Prime Minister’s office in collaboration with IHEC. The stipulated date must be at least 45 days prior to the conclusion of the current parliamentary term, which is calculated from the first session of the parliament.
